SECTION THREE – MUCUNA (100 % IMPLEMENTED)
**Main focus relationship**
Mucuna’s full implementation reflects a reliance on a single supportive herb. This reliance can hide a fear of the unknown – the nervous system clings to a known “boost” rather than exploring other pathways of vitality.
**Report indicator**
The 100 % status points to “facing unfamiliar situations” as the underlying resistance. The body says, “I have my safety net, why venture elsewhere?”
**Step by step**
1. Open a breathing biofeedback app on your phone.
2. Set a timer for three minutes and begin slow diaphragmatic breaths, watching the visual coherence curve.
3. Notice the urge to return to the rhythm you are used to, perhaps a quick shallow breath.
4. When the urge appears, intentionally extend the exhale by one second, staying present with the sensation of lengthening.
5. Each day, increase the exhale by another second, allowing the nervous system to taste a new pattern of calm.
6. After each session, reflect on any fear that surfaced about “changing the way I breathe.”
7. Write down a short affirmation that acknowledges the safety in flexibility: “My breath can flow in many ways, each supportive.”
**Leaving the comfort zone**
Breathing is the most automatic function; changing its pattern feels like breaking a rule. Yet the body learns that safety is not tied to a single rhythm, reducing the fear of the unfamiliar.
